Łeba would be a pleasant, sandy, harbour-mouth resort on its own. What makes it extraordinary is next door: Słowiński National Park, where 40-metre dunes walk east up to ten metres a year, burying pine forest as they go. The Łącka dune is the closest thing Europe has to a desert, and its edge is an hour's stroll from town.
Twenty properties from €53 fill fast in summer — the town's broad white beach alone would justify them. Come in shoulder season and you may share the dunes with nobody but the wind.
Between the harbour canal and the beach for the classic resort stay; the western edge near the park gate saves the morning queue for the dunes.
Park gate at Rąbka → forest road → boardwalk → the bare Łącka dune summit → return along the wild beach. The region's one unmissable walk; carry water, there is no shade on the sand.
All 12 walks in Pomerania →Seasonal direct trains from the Tricity (2.5 h) plus year-round connections via Lębork. Inside the park it's feet, bikes or the electric carts — cars stop at the gate.
